Super fast on this one…10-20 minutes maybe (I don’t actually know though).
A photo study I spent a bit longer on. Focus for this one was on edges, and I experimented with using the polygonal lasso tool to get some really crisp edges.
Okay, so I was lazy and didn’t get around to photographing these…some are like a few weeks old even. Anyhow, also including a 5 minute landscape from my imagination and a quick robot copy after Sam Brown.
All from photo except the gas mask guy and the hover car, which were from imagination.
Do a photo study, then do it again from memory. It’s tough. 30 minutes for the first one, 10 for the second.
16 minutes (was going to be 15 but forgot the reflection and needed to fix the foliage, but it is still wrong haha)
And one AWFUL one that for some reason didn’t work…
Here is a Sorolla copy, and a quick sketch from my imagination. Both were done while talking on MSN. Slows me down, and I think I am not quite as focussed on them as I should be, but it is nice to talk and paint at the same time.
